What is a diplexer?

A diplexer is used as a signal combiner and/or signal separator.  It basically combines and/or separates signals between the frequencies of 5-860MHz & 950-2150MHz.  Usually RF frequencies operate between the frequencies of 5-860MHz and satellite output from a LNBF operates within the frequency range of 950-2150MHz.  Therefore, you can combine both your cable TV or antenna signal along with your satellite signal and transfer them both using a single RG6 cable, eliminating having to drill additional holes and wiring additional cable.
